Paws For Empowerment is in constant need of assistant trainers and other support personnel to help before, during and after the placement of specially trained Service Dogs for the disabled. Paws For Empowerment Service Dogs are trained from pups for over two years by a team of dedicated volunteers and professionals to help people who have a mobility disability live fuller lives.
Volunteering is a wonderful way in which to learn and develop successful skills for dog ownership and service animal handlership. Teaching or assisting experience is not required but highly desirable.
Give up to 12 months of your time, patience and love to help raise and help train a potential Service Dog puppy.
Assist a Puppy Home by tending to, exercising and training a puppy.
Provide a short respite for Puppy Home people by keeping their pups while they’re away from home.
